You can group elements in Canva to move, resize, or rotate them together as a single unit. This makes designing much more efficient. Here's how:
Select the Elements: The first step is to select all the elements you want to group. You can do this in a couple of ways:
Shift
key (or Command
key on Mac) and click on each individual element you want to add to the selection.Group the Elements: Once you have your elements selected, look for the Group button. This button is usually located in the toolbar that appears at the top of the Canva editor when you have multiple elements selected. Click this button. Alternatively, you can right-click on one of the selected elements, and choose "Group" from the menu.
Ungrouping: If you need to edit individual elements within a group, you'll need to ungroup them first. Select the grouped elements, and click the Ungroup button (usually located in the same place where the Group button was). Alternatively, right-click the grouped object and choose "Ungroup."
Moving & Resizing Groups: When elements are grouped, clicking on the group will select the entire group. You can then move, resize, rotate, or apply effects to the entire group as if it were a single object. Remember to hold Shift
when resizing to maintain proportions.
Layering and Groups: Groups can be part of the overall layering order within your design. You can bring a whole group forward or backward, just like any other individual element.
